The person behind the camera

Hello,
I'm Ali.

Wedding videographer. UK & destination. Lover of pasta, Southern Soul music and genuinely emotional father-daughter speeches.

About Alistair

From watching films to making them. I get to tell real love stories for a living. That will never not blow my mind.

I'm a wedding videographer based in the UK, travelling all over the country and beyond making films about amazing people in love. From the Cotswolds to the Greek Islands.

My style is unobtrusive. I blend into your day and capture all the natural, authentic moments as they happen. Using high quality audio and carefully chosen music, I tell your love story through timeless, elegant films built to be passed down through generations.

"I've always loved telling stories. There's something about capturing a real moment that sticks with you long after the day ends."

Away from the camera, life is gloriously chaotic. I live with my fiancée and our two young kids - a boy and a girl - and we're currently renovating a house at the same time as raising them, which is exactly as mad as it sounds. Becoming a dad has genuinely turned me into an emotional wreck in the best possible way, and I think it shows in how I film.

When I'm not on a building site or doing the nursery run, I've fallen into all the classic dad-in-his-30s hobbies - running, getting far too serious about coffee, a brief but committed lycra-and-cycling phase, podcasts, audiobooks and long family walks. I love it.

Awards aren't really my thing, but I did enter one once, won my region at The Wedding Industry Awards and got to the national final. Maybe one day I'll have another go.

A little more

The non-CV stuff

Favourite food
Spaghetti bolognese, cacio e pepe. Pasta. Always pasta. With heaps of parmesan.
Favourite places
San Francisco, Melbourne, New York, Thailand and home.
What makes you cry?
Becoming a dad changed everything. Father-daughter dances. Grooms seeing their bride for the first time. Alan Titchmarsh building gardens for old people. Every time.
Music right now
My go-to has always been indie music but this changes depending on what I'm doing. Editing - movie soundtracks. Running - upbeat pop rock. In the house - southern soul.
Perfect Sunday
Long family walk, a proper coffee that I actually get to finish, Sunday roast, kids in bed by 7, something good on the TV.
Favourite films
Moneyball. Blood Diamond. The Departed. Parasite.
Kind words

We don't even know how to express how much we love our videos. It's now a year on and we still watch them weekly. We have recommended him to all our friends getting married.
